A four-day collaborative space at Devcon 8 India exploring Ethereum's processes, protocol upgrades, application standards, and enterprise adoption.
Jio World Centre, Mumbai · 3–6 November 2026
Three foundational principles shaping four days of standards, governance, and protocol collaboration at Devcon 8 India.
Located right on the main Devcon 8 India floor inside Jio World Centre, Mumbai. Walk in any time across all four days, or access livestreamed sessions and archives afterward.
An open, community-led & project-neutral space dedicated entirely to protocol public goods. Open to everyone: first-time EIP authors, protocol researchers, client developers, community projects, and students.
Interactive office hours, direct access to EIP Editors, live EIPsInsight dashboards, hands-on ERC clinics, hackathon integration, and dedicated contributor onboarding every single day.
The EIP Hub at Devcon 8 India is the go-to collaborative space for existing and aspiring Ethereum contributors — bringing the research-to-reality pipeline to Mumbai. Across four days, it covers the EIP Process, Protocol EIPs, Application ERCs, and Enterprise implementation for broader adoption.
In 2025 at Devconnect Argentina (Buenos Aires), the ECH Institute and community leaders hosted the inaugural EIP Summit—the first dedicated, standalone summit created to tackle the bottleneck in Ethereum's standardization pipeline. By gathering core developers, EIP editors, client implementers, and application authors under one roof, the EIP Summit transformed asynchronous GitHub discussions into high-velocity face-to-face breakthroughs.
Now in 2026, that spirit expands into the EIP Hub at Devcon 8 India inside the Jio World Centre, Mumbai. Spanning 4 full days, the hub serves as an active protocol laboratory, author clinic, and contributor launchpad for the global Ethereum ecosystem.
Founded by ECH Institute to unite researchers, editors, and authors face-to-face, replacing months of slow GitHub comments with immediate consensus.
Connecting the full research-to-reality pipeline to India's thriving developer frontier with live clinics, client interop, and first-time author mentoring.
10 recorded deep-dives, keynotes, and workshops bridging the research-to-reality pipeline for Ethereum standards.
Watch how the concept of uniting EIP editors, client developers, and authors in person transformed the Ethereum standards pipeline.
Original milestones and metrics from the inaugural EIP Summit at Devconnect Argentina.

The EIP Hub is a public-good, community-driven initiative organized by the ECH Institute, EIPs Insight, EtherWorld, ETHShala, ETHCluj, and ETH Pune. We invite protocols, research institutions, client teams, and ecosystem foundations to partner with us in making standards coordination accessible to all Devcon 8 India attendees.
Whether you want to speak, lead a session, run a workshop, or support on the ground — there's a role for you at EIP Hub.
Present your research, EIP/ERC work, or protocol insights to a focused audience of Ethereum contributors and builders.
Submit ProposalParticipate in structured discussions on EIP governance, protocol evolution, application standards, or enterprise adoption.
Express InterestLead a hands-on session — spec walkthroughs, live demos, author clinics, or implementation deep-dives across any of the four tracks.
Propose WorkshopSupport the hub on the ground — help run sessions, assist attendees, manage the booth, or coordinate logistics across all four days.
Sign UpTailored tracks designed for developer communities, core client engineering teams, grant foundations, and independent researchers.
For developer communities, universities, and regional DAOs looking to co-curate community sessions, host author office hours, or coordinate regional developer delegations.
For execution/consensus client engineering teams, security audit firms, and core infrastructure providers to lead technical clinics and AllCoreDevs test sessions.
For foundations and grant programs providing travel and lodging support for independent, open-source EIP authors and researchers to attend in Mumbai.
For research outlets, media organizations, and data teams producing technical explainers, live stream coverage, and analytical dashboards.
Zero commercial pitching, token shilling, or speculative financial promotions. Content must focus purely on open technical specifications, research, client architectures, and EIP governance.
All presented code, test suites, libraries, and tooling must be public and open-source under permissive licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, or CC0 for EIP specifications).
Partners and booth staff must strictly respect the Devcon 8 and Ethereum Community Code of Conduct, ensuring an inclusive, welcoming, and harassment-free environment for all builders.
Partners are expected to actively engage with independent authors and first-time contributors through technical feedback and office hours rather than passive booth marketing.
The EIP Hub stage gathers the core minds driving Ethereum’s protocol specification and standardization engine. Across all 4 days in Mumbai, attendees will engage directly with four distinct cohorts of technical contributors:
Stewards of EIP-1 and the standards process providing direct review, author office hours, and peer feedback on drafts.
Researchers and engineers working on upcoming Ethereum hard forks, state transition changes, and Prague/Electra upgrades.
Engineers from Geth, Nethermind, Besu, Erigon, Lighthouse, and Prysm testing interop and engine API specifications.
Authors behind ERC-4337 smart accounts, token extensions, wallet interoperability, and verifiable computing primitives.
